The Bank of Montreal’s Winnipeg main branch is a major landmark in a city once known as the gateway to the Canadian West. Completed in 1913 and designed by the McKim, Mead, and White architectural firm, the building is an outstanding example of neo-classical architecture. Extensive renovations and restoration work done in 1975-1976 have preserved the classical elegance of the building, while also providing a modern and comfortable banking environment. Enjoy tours of the lower-level vault, presentations on downtown Winnipeg’s “Banker’s Row” hosted by Greg Agnew and light refreshments throughout the day.
