Opened in 1904 by the Dominion Express Company, the former livery has been transformed into the Patent 5 Distillery, a turn of the century cocktail room and craft distillery. The original stable was declared Canada’s most modern stable in August 1904 as it was the only stable in the nation with electric grooming tools. After serving as the Costume Museum for years the building was a little used warehouse in the heart of Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District. Today the cocktail room is adorned with beautiful artifacts from the Oak Room at the St. Regis Hotel, built in 1911.
To help keep everyone safe, wearing a face mask and social distancing is mandatory.
