Keepsakes Gallery – Silpit Building (1899)
Originally a five-storey building, built in 1899 by the R.J. Whitla firm. The Whitla block, was a wholesale dry-goods warehouse and it was expanded by two floors in 1911. Keepsakes celebrated its 6th anniversary in April! Pictured is the original hand painted vault door, our Doors Open promo! To the right are encaustic paintings by Susan Birdwise, photography by Art Dehls and ceramic drums by Bob Hanley. We will have live music from 2 – 4 pm during Doors Open. Our regular hours are Noon - 6pm, Tuesday to Saturday. The first Friday of every month, we are open until 9 pm with live music from 5:30-8:30 pm.
