The Historical Museum of St. James-Assiniboia is comprised of three buildings: the municipally and provincially designated William Brown Red River Frame House (1856) originally situated on the banks of the Assiniboine River and moved to the present site in 1970, the historic Municipal Government Hall erected in 1911 housing vignettes and displays on the development of St. James-Assiniboia, and the 1890s Interpretive Centre showcasing early pioneer life.
Please note only the Interpretive Centre is wheelchair accessible.
To help keep everyone safe, wearing a face mask and social distancing is mandatory.
Guided tours will run every 60 minutes starting at 10:00am, with the last tour departing at 3:00pm. Tours will be 20 minutes in length with a maximum of 10 guests.
Preregistration is required for all tours! Click here to preregister! Preregistration will open Friday, September 4th at noon. A link to preregister will be made available here just prior to preregistration opening.
Guests who have not preregistered for a guided tour are welcome to explore the buildings not occupied by the guided tour, provided there is capacity and space to social distance. The maximum capacity of each building is 10 guests.
