May 30th, 2026
Saturday: 12:00pm - 3:45pm

There are three levels of court that sit in Manitoba. 408 York Avenue is the Winnipeg Law Courts and it is where all three Courts hears cases: The Manitoba Court of Appeal, The Manitoba Court of King’s Bench and The Manitoba Provincial Court. During our tours, you will visit a courtroom of the Court of Appeal and the Court of King’s Bench and hear about the work of all three courts. You will also visit ‘The Great Library’, which also happens to be where the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Law first existed and remained until 1970.

Guided tours of the Old Law Courts building will run every 30 minutes starting at 12:15pm, with the last tour departing at 3:45pm. Tours will be approximately 40 minutes in length with a maximum 30 guests. Guests will have to clear security screening upon entry to the building (similar to going through airport security). No registration required!
