The Historical Museum of St. James-Assiniboia invites everyone to join us in celebrating our unique Winnipeg heritage as you immerse yourself in the past!

Tours include:
• 1853 Red River frame, Métis log two storey farmhouse built by ‘Orkneyman’ William Brown
• 19th century Interpretive building featuring large scale vignettes of early transportation, blacksmithing, butter making, and farming
• 1911 First Assiniboia Municipal Government Hall featuring galleries with displays and vignettes on the history of the area

Entertainment/Artisan Demonstrations from 11:30am until 3:45pm:
• Summer Bear Dance Troupe and exhibition led by Elder Barbara Nepinakon the grounds
• The 1817 Forces of Lord Selkirk Historical Re- enactment Troupe on the grounds
• Classical & Jazz Guitarist inside the 1911 Assiniboia Municipal Hall
• Local Artisans demonstrating woodworking & paper quilting outdoors and inside the 19th C. Interpretive Building
• 100 yrs of Vintage film Cameras Interactive Display

Guided tours of the buildings will run every 15 minutes starting at 11:30am, with the last tour departing at 3:30pm. Tours will be approximately 15 minutes in length with a maximum 25 guests. No registration required!

Outdoor events will be cancelled in the case of heavy rain or thunderstorms. Indoor events will proceed regardless of the weather. Weather related cancellations will NOT be posted.
