Discover Downtown Winnipeg’s vibrant public art with our guided Art and Architecture walking tour! Explore public art installations, learn about their historical significance and the artists behind them, and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. This tour situates art in its architectural context and examines the important role of public art in Winnipeg, located on Treaty 1 Territory and in the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. The walking tour offers a unique way to experience the city, enjoy the outdoors, and expand your knowledge of Winnipeg’s urban fabric.

Please note the tour is wheelchair accessible but sidewalks and streets may be in poor condition and challenging to navigate.

On both days guided tours will start at 1:00pm, departing from the “Justice” statue in front of the Law Courts (408 York Avenue) at the corner of York Avenue and Kennedy Street. The tour will conclude at the “High Five” installation located along Waterfront Drive between Provencher Boulevard and Lombard Avenue, across the street form the Blue Cross Park. Tours will be approximately 120 minutes in length and include 2.3 kilometers of walking. Maximum of 25 guests per tour. No registration required!

In regards to the weather: Outdoor events will go on as scheduled if there is light rain. Outdoor events will be cancelled if there are heavy downpours or thunderstorms. Cancellations will NOT be posted.
