Celebrate 50 years of Winnipeg’s living heritage with a visit to the Living Prairie Museum nature park. This unique urban nature preserve protects a stunning example of endangered tall-grass prairie habitat. Enjoy a guided walk on the trails or admire the spring from our outdoor seating areas. Indoors, visit the unique architecture of the mid-century Interpretive Centre, explore the hands-on exhibits, and learn more about the prairie and nature in Winnipeg.
Guided tours of the outdoor prairie site will start at 11:00am, 12:15pm, 1:30pm and 2:45pm on both days. Tours will be approximately 45 minutes in length with a maximum of 20 guests. Staff and volunteers will also be on site to share knowledge and answer questions. No registration required!
Outdoor events will be cancelled in the case of heavy rain or thunderstorms. Indoor events will proceed regardless of the weather. Weather related cancellations will NOT be posted.
