The Shaarey Zedek Synagogue located at the corner of Wellington Crescent and Academy Road was new to Doors Open this year. The hospitality at the Synagogue was exceptional and they did an excellent job providing a thoughtful and interesting tour for the Doors Open visitors. The synagogue’s mid century modern design was ahead of its time when it opened up in 1950, and is an iconic building in the area. Visitors enjoyed a tour of the building’s Sanctuary and Chapel, viewing of artifacts, and a walk-around of the exterior of the building.
