Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church
The Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Parish was constructed in 1932, by the Ukrainian pioneers from Halychyna (Galacia) in Western Ukraine who settled in the Brooklands area, in northeast Winnipeg. Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Parish is the last of the original, pioneer built, pre-1935 Ukrainian Catholic churches remaining in the city limits. The parish features some excellent examples of the artistry of Jacob Maydanyk.
This isn’t the first time Holy Ghost has won Best Overall Experience at Doors Open, they also won the award last year, which was their first year participating in the event.
