Women’s undergarments have served many purposes, from health claims to social status, while also shaping and enhancing body types. Styles and silhouettes have evolved throughout every era, responding to changing attitudes about beauty, decorum, and gender roles. In our “Shape Shifting: The History Worn Beneath” the Costume Museum of Canada offers a glimpse into the history of these undergarments through artifacts from our collection.

Please note the building is wheelchair accessible by way of the south door closest to Toad Hall Toys.
