Government House is a unique and historic landmark located in Winnipeg. This year’s Doors Open event provides a rare opportunity for the public to explore this iconic building, learn about its rich history and experience the grandeur of its architecture. The building houses a diverse collection of artwork that represents over a century of art marking with work dating from 1919-2017. From the stunning architecture to the impressive art collection, this tour has something for everyone. So mark your calendar and attend the Doors Open event at Government House – you will not be disappointed!
Guided tours of the main floor of the building will run every 20 minutes starting at 11:00am, with the last tour beginning at 3:40pm. Tours will be approximately 20 minutes in length with a maximum of 20 guests. No registration required!
Outdoor events will be cancelled in the case of heavy rain or thunderstorms. Indoor events will proceed regardless of the weather. Weather related cancellations will NOT be posted.
