The Historic Kildonan Church & Cemetery is the oldest Presbyterian worship place and cemetery in Western Canada. It predates Canada’s Confederation and the formations of the Province of Manitoba and the City of Winnipeg. This unique historic site at ‘Frog Plain’ is tucked away, not far from the Red River in ‘Old Kildonan’ and is located at 2373 Main Street, just north of Chief Pequis Trail. The original settlers arrived in 1812 and waited forty years for the arrival of a minister of their own Presbyterian faith. In 1854 the spiritual center of their community was completed.

Please note that while Nisbet Hall is wheelchair accessible, the grounds of the cemetery may be challenging to navigate.

Presentation in Nisbet Hall will start at 1:00pm, followed by a guided tour of the cemetery. The event will be approximately 120 minutes in length with a maximum of 75 guests. No registration required!
