The massive injustice that was the internment of Japanese Canadians, including entire families, in the name of national security during WWII, plays an integral part in the story of Manitoba Buddhist Temple. Learn how families who lost everything sacrified to construct the temple, still attended by many of those families today, and how the temple came to serve as the social and cultural hub of a thriving Japanese Canadian community after the war. Discover more about the temple, hear about its former feline residents and experience the beauty of the golden shrine at the heart of it.
