Frank Mariaggi came from Corsica and opened Canada’s first European Styled hotel. Suites were luxuriously designed. The main floor held a wonderful dining room, the longest bar in the west and grottos in the basement. Today’s Mariaggi has 18 authentic theme rooms from around the world. Cake-ology is a Winnipeg tradition with tasty lunches, delicious dessert and specialty coffee. The new Dahlia by Mariaggi’s Restaurant and Grotto lounge are being developed. Guests are welcome to enjoy a cappuccino on the patio with pastry and ice cream, or try a delicious sandwich and vegan salad for lunch.
Guided tours will run casually throughout both afternoons. Tours will start at Cake-ology and go through the basement grottos, ending with viewing theme suites including the Bali Penthouse. No registration required!
