Come visit the McDougall house! Built in 1883 for the Métis family McDougall who relocated to Lorette during the troubled years of 1868-70. This house was built by Mrs. McDougall after she was widowed. Heritage Saint-Norbert worked hard to raise the money to move and restore this piece of pioneer history from its original location near Lorette. The house is a 1 1/2 storey lot building with dovetail corners, considered by many to be the ultimate in log building construction. The house now stands in Place Saint-Norbert and houses a collection of historical artifacts.
Guided tours will run throughout the day. No registration required!
