Founded in 1925, Théâtre Cercle Molière is a driving force in the cultural life of French-speaking Manitoba. Its current home, built in 2010, is a 125-seat auditorium in an eco responsible building located on Provencher Boulevard in the heart of St. Boniface. We present Manitoban, Canadian, and international plays, run Festival théâtre jeunesse (Youth theatre festival) and a theatre school. Thanks to our subtitling system, English speakers can enjoy French theatre in Winnipeg. Beyond our floor-to-ceiling windowed foyer, visit our workshop, dressing rooms, costume storage and other stage secrets!
Fondé en 1925, Théâtre Cercle Molière est une force motrice dans la vie culturelle francophone au Manitoba. Le théâtre se trouve actuellement dans une édifice éco-responsable construite en 2010 sur le boulevard Provencher au cœur de Saint-Boniface. On présente des pièces manitobaines, canadiennes et internationales, gère le Festival théâtre jeunesse et dirige une école de théâtre. Grâce à un système de sous-titrage, tous peuvent apprécier le théâtre en français à Winnipeg. Guided tours will run every 60 minutes starting at 11:15am, with the last tour departing at 4:15pm. Tours will be approximately 30 minutes in length, departing from the theatre lobby inside the building’s entrance. Hosts are bilingual, so tours can be delivered in French, English, or a charming mix of Franglais, depending on the group’s preference! No registration required!
