Explore West Broadway, a thriving inner-city area with a long and diverse history. We’ll walk through the area’s architectural history from its beginnings as a wealthy suburb for Winnipeg’s elite, to its modern place as a hip hub for arts, culture and independent businesses. There will be a brief stop for a fashion painting demo.
Our historic main streets feature dozens of heritage buildings, while our business district has been transformed into a dense urban art gallery. As we walk we’ll take in all the sights and stories of this little neighbourhood with a big heart.
Guided walking tour will start at 11:00am, beginning and finishing at 745 Westminster Avenue (Westminster United Church). Please meet on meet on the front steps along Maryland Street. Tours will be approximately 90 minutes in length with a maximum of 75 guests. Registration is required! Registration opens Saturday, May 23rd at noon through a link that will be provided here.
Outdoor events will be cancelled in the case of heavy rain or thunderstorms. Weather related cancellations will NOT be posted.
