Discover Downtown Winnipeg’s vibrant public art with our guided Art and Architecture walking tour! Explore public art installations, learn about their historical significance and the artists behind them, and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. This tour situates art in its architectural context and examines the important role of public art in Winnipeg. The walking tour offers a unique way to experience the city, enjoy the outdoors, and expand your knowledge of Winnipeg’s public art/architecture.
On both days guided walking tours will start at 1:00pm, beginning at the “Justice” statue in front of the Law Courts (408 York Avenue) at the corner of York Avenue and Kennedy Street. The tour will conclude at the “High Five” installation located along Waterfront Drive between Provencher Boulevard and Lombard Avenue, across the street form the Blue Cross Park. Tours will be approximately 120 minutes in length with a maximum of 40 guests. Registration is required! Registration opens Saturday, May 23rd at noon through a link that will be provided here.
Outdoor events will be cancelled in the case of heavy rain or thunderstorms. Weather related cancellations will NOT be posted.
