Discover Winnipeg’s living heritage with a visit to the Living Prairie Museum nature park. This unique urban nature preserve protects a stunning example of endangered tall-grass prairie habitat. Enjoy the beauty of spring on the prairie from our trails and outdoor seating areas. Indoors, the Interpretive Centre has hands-on exhibits and activities to learn more about the prairie and nature in Manitoba. Explore on your own or join us for a tour! On Sunday, Prairie Flora Greenhouse will be on-site with a native plant sale.

Please note the upstairs of the building is only accessible by stairs. Most other spaces, including the washrooms and patio space, are wheelchair accessible

On both days guided tours of the building and prairie site will run every 60 minutes starting at 11:00am, with the last tour beginning at 3:00pm. Tours will be approximately 35 to 40 minutes in length with a maximum of 15 guests. Staff and volunteers will also be on site to share knowledge and answer questions. No registration required!

In regards to the weather forecast: Outdoor events will go on as scheduled if there is light rain. Outdoor events will be cancelled if there are heavy downpours or thunderstorms. Cancellations will NOT be posted.
